## What is this service?

During the initial examination the veterinarian examines your pet in person, assessing its general well-being, behavior and state of health. Direct contact makes it possible to accurately check vital signs, palpate, listen to the heart and breathing, and notice details that cannot be assessed remotely or from photos.

An in-person examination is essential to correctly assess the animal’s condition, identify possible health problems and choose the most suitable treatment or care plan. During the visit the veterinarian also answers your questions and gives individual recommendations.

Even clearly visible symptoms can hide more serious problems, so only an in-person veterinary examination lets you care for your pet’s health safely and responsibly.

## How does it work?

At the start of the visit the veterinarian examines your pet and discusses the procedure and any alternatives with you. The service is then carried out safely — sedation or pain relief is used where needed so your pet stays as calm as possible.

At the end you receive clear care recommendations, and if necessary we schedule a follow-up visit or further treatment.
