## What is this service?

The European pet passport is an official document that allows you to travel with your pet within the European Union and some other countries. It confirms the animal’s identity and state of health.

## How does it work?

At the start of the visit the veterinarian examines your pet and discusses the procedure and any alternatives with you. The service is then carried out safely — sedation or pain relief is used where needed so your pet stays as calm as possible.

At the end you receive clear care recommendations, and if necessary we schedule a follow-up visit or further treatment.

## What you need to know about the European passport

### 📘 What does the European passport confirm?

The European passport records:

- the animal’s identification (microchip number, description);
- the owner’s details;
- vaccinations, in particular the mandatory rabies vaccination;
- deworming and other preventive treatments (where applicable);
- the veterinarian’s details and stamp.

### 🐶🐱 Who needs it?

- when traveling with dogs, cats and ferrets across the EU;
- when taking part in shows and competitions;
- for identifying the animal and recording its health history.

### 📌 Good to know

- The passport is issued only to an animal marked with a microchip.
- The rabies vaccination must be valid.
- Without a valid passport an animal cannot legally cross EU borders.
